HR Generalist
The HR Generalist provides day-to-day support across recruitment, onboarding, compliance, benefits, and employee relations. This role serves as a first point of contact for employees while supporting organizational initiatives.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Support full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews.
- Administer onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
- Provide support for performance management systems and review cycles.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits, payroll, or HR policies.
- Draft and update job descriptions in collaboration with managers.
- Assist with developing HR communications and policy updates.
- Support benefits administration, including enrollment, terminations, and employee questions.
- Conduct exit interviews and assist with turnover tracking.
- Monitor HR compliance and assist with reporting requirements.
- Participate in HR projects such as engagement surveys or DEI initiatives.
- Support the HR team with HRIS data entry and reporting.
- Collaborate with managers on employee relations matters, escalating as appropriate.
- Review and submit accurate expense reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications & Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience, preferred.
- 2–3 years of HR experience preferred.
- Familiarity with recruiting, onboarding, and HR compliance practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Office Hours
This position is based in Washington, DC and follows a hybrid work model, with 2–3 days per week in the office. Work hours are consistently 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday - Friday, with the expectation that evening and weekend work will be required as necessary.
