Director, Media Planning
The Director, Media Planning helps guide the strategic vision for planning operations and leads a selection of client relationships, delivering high-quality, data-driven digital media strategies for a mix of Democratic political and public affairs advertisers. This role manages junior staff, ensures integration across departments, and contributes to high-level business planning and client success.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Define strategic planning frameworks and oversee their execution across campaigns and verticals.
- Lead and manage staff at the Associate, Manager and Associate Director level.
- Oversee large account portfolios and maintain senior-level client relationships.
- Partner with executive and departmental leaders on cross-functional planning and resourcing.
- Develop and refine internal processes, documentation, and team structures.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex planning issues or client challenges.
- Represent the department in executive planning, performance reviews, and board-level briefings.
- Ensure ongoing training, development, and mentorship of planning staff.
- Submit expense reports and timesheet approvals on time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications & Skill Requirements:
- 8+ years in media planning, strategy, or digital advertising.
- 4+ years managing teams and department operations.
- Deep expertise in digital platforms, measurement, and campaign effectiveness.
- Executive-level communication, leadership, and planning capabilities.
- Experience designing digital media programs focused on persuasion and brand lift is required.
- Experience designing and executing digital advertising programs for Democratic political campaigns or causes is preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 10-15% as needed.

- Annual base salary range of $100,000 - $120,000 depending upon factors including, but not limited to, experience, skill level, education, and location.

Office Hours
This position is based in Washington, DC however, we are open to remote work in other states. We will be working on a hybrid basis with many team members working entirely from home. Work hours are consistently 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday - Friday, with the expectation that evening and weekend work will be required as necessary.
